The lighting and Location of the opening scene of "se7en"

The lighting at the begging of the film is very dark and gloomy which straight away gives you the impression that the film is going to be a very dark and mysterious film.

The lighting of the murder scene at the beginning of the film is lighted in a specific well thought out way. There is a lamp hanging from the cealing wich makes the light cast a dark gloomy shaddow around the body and on morgan freemans face. This emphasises the darkness of the film. The building is a run down new york apartment which shows the dark side of new york not the glamourous shopping yellow taxis we see on the tv.

The character morgan freeman plays is a very smart well thought calculating individual who has been in the game for years and has seen some horrible things. Where as bradd pitt plays the eager young cocky rookie who thinks he knows everything after only a few years in the business. The scene of them walking down the street after leaving the murder scence shows straight away they are in a battle of power. Both of them walk in front of each other but morgan free man ends up being the one in front in the end to show that he is the one in charge and not bradd pitt the rookie.

Manifesto

I think that i am a very warm and easy going person and I am enjoying my time at welling school so far . In my GCSE'S i achieved 5 C's 1 B and the rest standard grades. I am very determined to do well this year and achieve good grades in order for me to take another step forward in my education to do better things in life.

I feel very happy that i chose media studies this year and feel that i am going to enjoy it alot. I chose media studies because it looked like a very interesting subject and from what i have done so far i am happy with that decision. I am aiming to achieve no less than a C in this subject if i achieve lower than that i wont be a happy camper ¬¬
